A Hope of New Life



Grameen Bank was started as a small project at Chittagong University in 1976 by Professor Muhammad Yunus. The idea was that very small loans would be provided to poor rural women, who would then use this loan to start very small income generating activities. Though such activities, these women would be able to pull themselves out of poverty. This documentary captures the life of one such woman, who has been able to change her life as a result of a small loan from Grameen Bank.
